Me Myself and I- The Gift

I tried to kill those ghosts inside of me
That voice you spoke is yelling in my ears
And I don't believe in love fools...
I'd like to have those eyes you want to kiss
Wishing something
I wish I had that voice you want to hear
I believe in
And I don't believe in love fools
Do you feel something
This feeling is so hard that I can't breathe
Wishing something
I wish you'd touch my hair when I'm asleep
And I don't know
And I don't believe in love fools
I'm tired of this
The words you wrote are putting me away
I'm tired of that
I know that love was for somebody else
And I don't know... me, myself and I
You and I know
You and I try
You and I ran
Leaving old stories far behind
And it feels good
And it's so warm
Having those eyes
Playing with me, myself and I...
I tried to kill those ghosts inside of me
The voice you spoke is yelling in my ears
And I don't know
And I don't believe in love fools...
I'd like to have those eyes you want to kiss
Wishing something
I wish I had that voice you want to hear
I believe in...
And I don't believe in love fools
I believe in me... me myself and I... me, myself and I
You and I know
You and I try
You and I run
Leaving old stories far behind
And it feels good
And it's so warm
Having those eyes
Playing with me, myself and I...
I'm tired of this... I'm tired of that...
You and I know
You and I try
You and I ran
Leaving old stories far behind
And it feels good
And it's so warm
Having those eyes
Playing with me, myself and I...

Bastille- Pompeii

I was left to my own devices
Many days fell away with nothing to show

And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above

But if you close your eyes,
Does it almost feel like
Nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes,
Does it almost feel like
You've been here before?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

We were caught up and lost in all of our vices
In your pose as the dust settles around us

And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above

But if you close your eyes,
Does it almost feel like
Nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes,
Does it almost feel like
You've been here before?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

Oh where do we begin?
The rubble or our sins?
Oh where do we begin?
The rubble or our sins?

And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Great clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above

But if you close your eyes,
Does it almost feel like
Nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes,
Does it almost feel like
You've been here before?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

Bastille- Flaws

When all of your flaws and all of my flaws are laid out one by one
Wonderful part of the mess that we made we pick ourselves undone
All of your flaws and all of my flaws, they lie there hand in hand
Ones we've inherited, ones that we learn, they pass from man to man

There's a hole in my soul
I can't fill it, I can't fill it
And there's a hole in my soul
Can you fill it? Can you fill it?

You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve
And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground
Dig them out, let's finish what we started
Dig them out, so nothing's left untouched

All of your flaws and all of my flaws, they may have been exhumed
We'll see that we need them to be who we are
Without them we'd be doomed

There's a hole in my soul
I can't fill it, I can't fill it
And there's a hole in my soul
Can you fill it? Can you fill it?

You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve
And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground
Dig them out, let's finish what we started
Dig them out, so nothing's left untouched

When all of your flaws and all of my flaws are counted (x2)

You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve
And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground
Dig them out, let's finish what we started
Dig them out, so nothing's left untouched

All of your flaws and all of my flaws, they laid out one by one
Look at the wonderful mess that we made we pick ourselves undone

Malvina Reynolds - Little Boxes

Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes all the same,
There's a pink one and a green one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

And the people in the houses
All went to the university
Where they were put in boxes
And they came out all the same
And there's doctors and lawyers
And business executives
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

And they all play on the golf course
And drink their martinis dry
And they all have pretty children
And the children go to school,
And the children go to summer camp
And then to the university
Where they are put in boxes
And they come out all the same.

And the boys go into business
And marry and raise a family
In boxes made of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same,
There's a pink one and a green one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

Sigur Rós - Ára Bátur

You tried everything
Yes, a thousand times
Experienced enough
Been through enough
But it was you who let everything
Into my heart
and it was you who once again
Awoke my spirit

I parted, you parted

You stir up
Emotions
In a blender
Everything in disarray
But it was you who was always
There for me
and it was you who never judged
My true friend

I parted, you parted
(hopelandic)

You sail on rivers
With an old oar
Leaking badly
You swim to shore
Pushed the waves away
But to no avail
You float on the sea
Sleep on the surface
Light through the fog

(hopelandic)

Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain

Amélie: [whispering in theater] I like to look for things no one else catches. I hate the way drivers never look at the road in old American movies.

Amélie Poulain: At least you'll never be a vegetable - even artichokes have hearts.

Narrator: [Amélie has found Nino's photo album and his "lost" posters] Any normal girl would call the number, meet him, return the album and see if her dream is viable. It's called a reality check. The last thing Amélie wants.

Raymond Dufayel aka Glass Man: So, my little Amélie, you don't have bones of glass. You can take life's knocks. If you let this chance pass, eventually, your heart will become as dry and brittle as my skeleton. So, go get him, for Pete's sake!

Narrator: Amelie has a strange feeling of absolute harmony. It's a perfect moment. A soft light, a scent in the air, the quiet murmur of the city. A surge of love, an urge to help mankind overcomes her.

The Sacré-Coeur Boy: Only a fool looks at a finger that points to the sky.

Gina: Absence makes...
Nino Quincampoix: ...the heart grow fonder.
